Wanna be lunatic? Fine - but leave me alone with it

Something is wrong with somebody. Some flag burning weirdoes pretend to be hurt in their religious feelings and want to prevent a Danish newspaper from making use of its liberty of speech. They also call for boycotts of course. In addition, some mad gunmen attacked an office of the European Union in Gaza, threatening the personnel and demanding an apology for the offensive cartoons. At the same time we hear demands for even more money from the same European Union. It seems that those guys don't even feel ridiculous in doing so.

As far as I am informed, those weirdoes were not forced to read the Danish newspapers they disliked, or were they? Nor am I - fortunately - forced to read their trashy media which usually overflow with much worse stuff than they criticize now. The Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten did not call for the bloodshed of Muslims, or did it? There were already once dead people in protests that degenerated because of holy books allegedly having been flushed down a toilet. However, we never had any fierce muslim protests over the killing of innocent civilians for example, right? Neither were there - ever - any protests against the chronical hate propaganda that is found every day in Arab media. Why wouldn't those "I-am-hurt-in-my-religious-feelings" people for once take position on these issues?

Dont' get me wrong - I don't mind when people choose to go fanatic about their religion and lose all human reason over it. But, please, don't bother other people with it. It's a personal choice and luckily none of my business.

UPDATE (03.02.2006, 07:40): Alexandra has a round-up: Fasten your seat belts it's going to be a bumpy ride.
